Senior Night

It was a great Senior Night...I didn't think I would feel so emotional..but when I saw Kelsey's name up on the big sign on the wall...it hit me pretty hard. It was a very strange night...the team we were supposed to play got wrong directions...and the bus took them to Cameron...so they were almost 2 hours late getting to Staley. It was great for me, however, it seems to extend the evening...and I got to just enjoy more of the last time we would see Kelsey play on the Staley home court.

Senior Year - A Lot Going On

Tomorrow night Bob and I will be escorting Kelsey on to the court for her final season game as a Senior Falcon volleyball player. This season has gone by so fast! I've tried so hard to just soak in each and every game and watch Kels play as closely as possible...just so I burn that image into my memory. I remember like yesterday races I saw Jenn run... she was awesome to watch.....I never wanted to forget it...and that was 10 years ago! I hope I remember Kels' games that well.
She is going to play club ball for Highlands volleyball club...which is a fantastic team for her to be on. Kels has already started to receive a few calls and letters from schools about playing volleyball in college...but she has a desire to go to a 4-year university too, so a lot has to happen in order for all that to work out. She will get seen by a ton of college coaches during club season...and hopefully God will work out all the little details. There are a couple of schools in NC that Jenn has recommended...and hopefully we can send a DVD and make contact with them during club season. I know almost every coach close to the mid-west goes to that tournament in Omaha...so we'll send out an invite to those coaches. Kels turns 18 in just a few short days..hard to believe.....she ordered her cap & gown and graduation announcements last week...amazing!

Prioritize Tackle obvious messes in the rooms where guests will gather. "First impressions are important," says Beyer, so get rid of jackets tossed on chairs and newspapers strewn on the table. Load the dishwasher.
Delegate Have your husband do a quick vacuum of high-traffic areas, while your kids pick up stray toys.
Refresh Use wipes to quickly clean and deodorize bathrooms. Hang fresh towels.
Welcome Keep prepackaged cookie dough on hand and pop a tray in the oven before your guests arrive. Your home will smell delicious and you'll have a sweet treat to offer your friends.

What an exciting game!

Kelsey's club team won their tournament yesterday. The final game was the most exciting. They found themselves 11 points behind. Somehow, someway they managed to work their way up, and won the game 27 to 25! Kelsey had the winning serve...that was so exciting! They worked so hard all day. They played 8 games in pool play, and then 4 games in tournament play. Needless to say they were so exhausted....but they played so well!
